Rings that break from the centre every six-tenths of a second and fade as they widen.

A ring is spawned at the centre on a fixed cadence and expands to the frame diagonal, its stroke thinning and its alpha falling as it goes. Each ring carries a second, fainter hairline at 92% of its radius, which is what stops the front reading as a single hard line. Early in a ring's life it is drawn in the secondary hue and late in it the primary, so the wavefront changes colour as it crosses the frame. A soft radial core sits at the origin so the rings look emitted rather than merely drawn. The trail is a translucent ground fill rather than a clear, so each frame leaves a little of the last one behind.
