Liquid chrome
SubscriptionFake-normal lit metal flowing — molten, reflective.
The noise field is read as a height map, then sampled twice more at tiny offsets to finite-difference a surface normal. Lighting that reconstructed normal with a cubed specular term produces genuine shading rather than a tinted gradient, which is why it reads as metal. Greyscale base from near-black to bright steel, amber pushed into the mid specular and a lime hot-spot on the sharpest highlights. Industrial, premium, and unmistakably GPU-rendered.
