Each keeps the last eighteen points it occupied and strokes them as a polyline, which is what turns sixty moving dots into legible field lines. Horizontal travel wraps past the frame edge with a margin so a tracer never pops in at the boundary. The frame trail is a light ground fill, so the lines smear slightly into their own past.
