Vehicle recall checker

NHTSA's full record of safety recall campaigns. Each campaign has its NHTSA recall number, the manufacturer, the date NHTSA received the report and the date owners were told, how many units are affected, who started it (the maker or an NHTSA investigation), the defect summary, the consequence, the remedy and NHTSA's notes, and whether owners are told not to drive or to park outside. Every make and model is its own list, and each recalled vehicle row ties a campaign to a model, a model year and the component involved. Look up a car before you buy it, check a fleet, or follow one maker's recall history.
